CHALLENGES
The task was interesting – VISA, acting as a partner of the international song contest, wants to create its own space in the fan zone on Khreshchatyk and in the IEC, where the Eurovision finals was held. In the Eurovision fan zone, only contactless payments with a VISA card were allowed. Therefore, the zone on Khreshchatyk was expected by a large number of visitors, which required a special approach not only to appearance, but also to ergonomics.
Designing
Outdoor structures are more difficult than indoor construction in that it is necessary to adapt the structure to the landscape and weather conditions. After developing a preliminary project, our team went to assess the location of our stand. This made its own adjustments to the engineering drawings for the layout, after which the entrances to the VISA zone were adapted.

Installation
The installation of the street structure was a well-balanced work of several teams. Based on the time frame, we needed to simultaneously mount the podium and the awning structure. The security service of the song contest made its own adjustments to the schedule of equipment arrival and the work of installers – the work was carried out without stopping 24/7. After positionning the podium, the installers of the VISA terminals joined the installers of the awning and the main structure. Only with the correct coordination of the project manager and a pre-compiled installation schedule did such work go smoothly and in time.
good experience
At the opening of the fan zone, the stand received a large number of visitors. VISA presented truly innovative contactless payment products and revealed all their possibilities for visitors. Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest took pictures and spent a lot of time at the outdoor space of VISA.
