The winds of change have blown through the world, reshaping industries and altering the course of many businesses. The events sector, in particular, witnessed a tumultuous evolution, profoundly affected by the pandemic.
Let’s delve into how the market has rebounded and how the venerable Alpaca Expo Group adapted, survived, and is now thriving anew.
The Aftermath of the Pandemic: A Market Reloaded
It’s been a year and a half since the shadow of COVID-19 started to recede, and the events market began its journey back to normalcy. Like many sectors, the initial days post-pandemic brought forth a palpable shortage of skilled personnel.
The autumn season of 2022 highlighted a profound deficit in the exhibition construction industry, marked notably by a dearth of labour and specialised industry professionals. However, by mid-spring 2023, equilibrium was restored as the market found its rhythm again.
The natural cycle of industry dynamics meant that while many longstanding exhibition companies couldn’t weather the pandemic storm, this paved the way for new entrants. These fresh faces brought with them innovative perspectives, invigorating the exhibition sector. The surge in demand for event specialists led to a competitive market, drawing professionals from various fields who had
previously battled the brunt of the pandemic.
Alpaca Expo Group: Reinvention Amidst Challenges
For Alpaca Expo Group, the post-pandemic era heralded a wave of
significant changes. Our headquarters made a strategic move to Germany, while production capabilities were redistributed amongst Italy, Germany, and Poland. This relocation not only capitalised on the recovering exhibition market but also positioned the group for rapid growth and expansion.
Partnerships played a pivotal role in our resurgence. Joining forces with production partner Global Expo and media collaborator Rent Madia, we bolstered our capacities considerably, bringing more value and variety to our offerings.
Despite the challenging geopolitical climate, we inaugurated and expanded our back office in Kyiv, comprising designers, engineers, and other intellectual labour representatives. This office not only embodies the intellectual backbone of our operations but also supports our colleagues in Ukraine during these challenging times. Further emphasising our commitment, our company staunchly stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian army in their defence against Russian aggressors.
Alpaca Expo Group, armed with resilience, adaptability, and innovation, is poised to harness these opportunities to their fullest potential. Our journey, though rife with challenges, is a testament to our unwavering spirit, dedication, and the power of reinvention in the face of adversity.
